Shah Allah Ditta Caves are located in the scenic Margalla Hills of Islamabad, Pakistan. They have become a popular tourist attraction in recent years due to their mystic beauty and historical significance. The caves have been carved out of limestone rocks and is believed to be more than 400 million years old. There is a staircase leading down to the cave's entrance which opens up into two large chambers filled with stalactites and stalagmites. One of the chambers also has three interconnected tunnels that lead to other smaller chambers beyond the main chamber.
In addition to its visual appeal, Shah Allah Ditta Caves also hold a great deal of cultural and spiritual relevance for locals, who believe that these ancient caves were once used as shelters by Buddhist monks centuries ago. This belief is further strengthened by the presence of several Buddhist carvings found inside the caves which can still be seen today. It is also believed that Hazrat Ali (RA), the fourth Caliph of Islam, spent his last night in exile here before embarking on his journey towards Kufa, Iraq.
The Shah Allah Ditta Cave Complex holds many mysteries which make it an intriguing destination for archaeologists and historians alike. Every year hundreds of tourists come here to explore its secrets while enjoying its breathtaking natural beauty at a close range.
